Everyone remembers Vader as finished : mask on, cape on, the whole legend already built. But I don't think something that powerful ever really finishes forming. So I wanted to catch him before that, curled up on himself, still soft, not hardened into the myth yet. Not really a fall, more like a folding-in.

It's less about his origin story and more about how evil doesn't usually show up loud. It incubates. It waits quiet inside something that can even look peaceful, almost innocent, right before it becomes what it becomes.

And honestly that's not just a Star Wars thing. Radicalization works the same way , nobody wakes up a monster overnight. It's slow, it's fed a little at a time, and from the outside it can look like nothing's happening at all until it's already too late. Same with a lot of ideologies, systems, even people we trust , the worst version of something is usually gestating quietly long before anyone names it.

Sometimes I think there's a kind of gravity to it too , like the shape you're becoming was already waiting for you, and every choice just feeds it closer to the surface. Ambition, pain, betrayal, it all folds into the thing, like the world itself wants the transformation to happen and just needs you to stop resisting it.

The grind isn't that different honestly. Nobody sees the version of you that's forming in the years nobody's watching — the quiet reps, the losses you don't post, the version of yourself curled up in the dark still figuring out what it's going to be. By the time it shows up finished, people just call it talent, or luck, or evil, whatever fits their story. They never see the incubation.

Which makes me wonder what's curled up in me right now. Not finished yet. Not named yet. Just... waiting for the shape it hasn't decided on , and for whatever's going to make it hatch.
